Short answer: the Deluxe edition's three-day early access no longer has value after worldwide launch. Do not count it when deciding today.
The useful comparison
| Feature | Standard | Deluxe |
|---|---|---|
| Full ACE COMBAT 8 game | Included | Included |
| Campaign and ACE COMBAT ONLINE | Included | Included |
| Premium Ace Pass Plus voucher | Not included | Included |
| Customizable Cosmetic Set | Not included | Included |
| Three-day early access | — | Expired benefit |
| US launch price | $69.99 | $89.99 |
Choose Standard if…
- You mainly want the campaign and normal access to ACE COMBAT ONLINE.
- You prefer to judge the seasonal pass after seeing its rewards.
- You do not care about the launch cosmetic set.
Choose Deluxe if…
- You already expect to play online across multiple two-month seasons.
- You value the included cosmetic set.
- The current regional price gap is acceptable after removing early access from the calculation.
What the Premium Ace Pass changes
The official FAQ says the Premium Ace Pass adds rewards such as playable aircraft, cosmetics and aircraft-upgrade items as you progress. It also states that playable aircraft offered through a Premium Ace Pass are planned to be sold separately after that season ends.
That makes Deluxe a convenience and cosmetics decision—not a requirement to play the campaign or enter online modes.
Do not assume the preorder bonus still applies
Official launch materials advertised the F-14A and ACE COMBAT ZERO: THE BELKAN WAR as preorder bonuses. The preorder period is now over. Check the exact storefront listing at checkout; do not buy on the assumption that an expired offer is still bundled.
